A special adaptation of A Christmas Carol produced by Cascades Theatrical Company

Scrooge. Tiny Tim. Marley’s Ghost. They all return to Bend December 21-23 in John Jakes’ adaptation of A Christmas Carol presented by the Tower Theatre Foundation.

christmascarolThis unique version of the family favorite and holiday classic starts with Dickens reading his famous story that packed auditoriums across Europe and America. As A Christmas Carol unfolds behind him, Dickens himself weaves in and out of the action – observing, performing small roles and interjecting his own perspective.

This adaptation is by best-selling novelist John Jakes, whom the New York Times calls “a master of the ancient art of storytelling.” CTC’s production is directed by Diane Turnbull. The all-local cast stars Alan Maxim as Scrooge and Brad Kent as Marley. The Cratchit Family is portrayed by Emma Anderson, Hannah Luckett, Aaron Fry, Noah Hill, Brooke Gabert and Megan Williams.

“The whole family will delight in this timeless tale of redemption as Tiny Tim teaches Scrooge the importance of compassion,” said Ray Solley, executive director of the Tower Theatre. A Christmas Carol is produced by special arrangement with Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Illinois.
