The Deschutes Historical Museum celebrates its anniversary on the 4^th of July with free admission and ice cream cups. The Deschutes Historical Museum will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This year marks the Deschutes Historical Museum’s 35^th anniversary as well as the 40^th anniversary of the Deschutes County Historical Society.

In addition to free admission to the Deschutes Historical Museum, guided heritage walks will take place throughout the day. Heritage walks will be on a first come, first serve basis and are limited to 15 visitors per walk. Finding Fremont: Pathfinder of the West is currently showing in our exhibit galleries.

The Deschutes Historical Museum opened July 4, 1980. The Museum free day is an opportunity to thank the community for its support with free admission and free ice cream treats.
