On Friday, August 28 at 6:30 pm at Paulina Springs Books in REDMOND and Saturday, August 29 at 6:30 pm at Paulina Springs Books in SISTERS, Evelyn Searle Hess will read from and sign her new book, “Building a Better Nest: Living Lightly at Home and in the World.”

Building a Better Nest asks the question, “What is required to build a home in concert with both the natural and the developed world?” Its genesis was Hess’s long camping experience, plus responses to her previous book, “To the Woods.” From her years living in tent and trailer, Hess wondered how to apply a similar standard of light living to a more socially adaptable and comfortable lifestyle, even while still on a limited budget. A large percentage of the nation says we are on the wrong track. Many are looking for a simpler way to live. If you are curious about all of this, don’t miss this event. $5.00 admission refunded upon purchase of the featured book.
