Three hundred million years ago, a bizarre whorl-toothed shark, the Helicoprion, lurked in the oceans that once covered parts of the west and southwest. This exhibit, by renowned artist Ray Troll, has something for the whole family combining science, art and humor to explore this ancient predator and how scientists unraveled the mysteries surrounding its highly unusual anatomy.

The exhibit is organized by the Idaho Museum of Natural History in collaboration with Ray Troll. With support from Cascade Journal.
