Learn how to draw select raptors from the Museum’s Donald M. Kerr Birds of Prey Center under the guidance of artist and teacher Ian Factor. The workshop will begin with classroom
instruction and sketching exercises from taxidermy specimens before moving on to drawing live birds. Dress warmly for outdoor sketching. Suitable for ages 14 and older. Materials
required: sketchbook or drawing pad (18” x 24” or smaller) and preferred drawing supplies—pencil, charcoal, eraser, watercolor, pen and ink.
Participants may bring a small field/tripod-type stool if needed.
