In honor of the Museum’s 35th anniversary, we are bringing back one of our earliest fundraisers! This family-friendly event will be held on the Museum’s dirt roads and trails.

Admission (on event day) will be included with race entry so that visitors can discover and enjoy all that the Museum has to offer. Costumes are encouraged and prizes will be awarded (dress as your favorite High Desert animal or as an early pioneer).

There will be a post-event celebration including a health and wellness fair, food/beverage (including Bloody Marys), live music, kids activities and an opportunity to interact with our beloved living history characters. Proceeds will support the Museum’s exhibits, wildlife, educational programs and access initiatives.

Course:
This course is on Museum grounds on primarily dirt roads and trails.  It is not ADA accessible.  Strollers and pets are not permitted.  More details coming soon.

Awards:
Awards will be issued to the top three overall male and female finishers in each age bracket (under 8, 8-11, 12-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+).  All finishers will receive a head band and Vulture Venture mason jar.

Price increase after May 5^:  $30 non-members, $25 members, $20 youth (ages 8-12).

Race-week registration:  $35 non-members, $30 members, $25 youth (ages 8-12).

Race-day registration:  $40 non-members, $35 members, $30 youth (ages 8-12).

Rules & Regulations:

Runners/walkers are not permitted on the course in advance of the event.

Race entries cannot be exchanged. Do not wear the bib number of another registrant.

Pets and strollers are not permitted on the course.

You must obey all directions of course monitors and safety personnel.

Unregistered participants are not allowed.

Headphones are permitted, but for your safety and the safety of others, please keep volume low enough to hear race officials and participants who may want to pass.

Refund Policy:

Full refunds (less credit card processing fees) for cancellations made at least 90 days in advance. Partial refunds (50%) for cancellations made less than 90 days in advance, but more than one month prior to the race. No refunds after May 17, 2017.

Packet Pick-up:

Packet Pick-up will take place at Footzone Bend located at 842 NW Wall St. on Friday, June 16 from 10:00 am  – 7:00 pm.
