Fine Art Exhibit at Sunriver Lodge

Sunriver Betty Gray Gallery presents a fine art exhibition of work by gallery artists.  Continuing until January 15 are small l scapes by Joanne Donaca, figurative works by Vicki Shuck animal portraits by Barbara Slater.

Donaca shows expressionistic l scapes of Central Oregon in both pastel oil. Recognized for her art by the Oil Painters of America, Donaca also is a signature member of the Pastel Society of Oregon, the Northwest, the Pastel Society of America.  Her art appears in private public collections including Sunriver Resort.

Shuck ‘s presents small figurative, expressionistic oil paintings of scenes such as café patrons, rodeos horses, street scenes others.  Recognized for her spiritual imagery such as the print collection, Seven Days of Creation, she added the secular portraits in 2007.  A member of Oil Painters of America, Shuck teaches adult classes at Arts Central.

Oil painter Barbara Slater exhibits fanciful endearing animals including elegant roosters, soulful horses, beloved dogs others.  Her affection for them her skillful grasp of their nature is apparent in the imagery.  A frequent participant in the Richard Schmidt Art Auction in Colorado, she travels to Arizona in January to the Scottsdale Art School to study “fur feathers” with noted animal artist Phil Beck.

Beginning January 17 continuing through January, an exhibition of gallery artists begins with brilliantly colored acrylic l scapes by Jean Schwalbe, elegant pastel l scapes by Leslie Cain, expressionistic waterscapes by Ann Bullwinkel dramatic l scapes by Gary Vincent.

Sunriver Betty Gray Gallery welcomes the public to the exhibit in the upper lower galleries of Sunriver Lodge.  Billye Turner, art consultant, organizes gallery exhibitions for the Sunriver Resort provides additional information at 531-382-9398.
