Heart To Perform at Les Schwab Amphitheater

heartLive for the first time in Bend for nearly a decade (since 2004), the Wilson sisters return Monday, September 22 on their Fanatic tour to play all of your favorites from Barracuda to Crazy on You and Dreamboat Annie to What About Love. Plus they’ve been playing a set of Zeppelin covers.

Over the group’s four-decade history, lead singer Ann Wilson and guitarist Nancy Wilson showed the world that women can rock. Heart rose to fame in the mid-1970s with music influenced by hard rock and heavy metal as well as folk music.

Heart stormed the charts in the ‘70s with hits like Crazy on You, Magic Man, Barracuda, Straight On and many more. Heart continued topping the charts through the ‘80’s and ‘90’s with huge hits like These Dreams, What About Love and Never.

At the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012 Ann and Nancy Wilson were asked to perform at the event in tribute to Led Zeppelin. The Wilson sisters performed a version of Stairway to Heaven complete with an orchestra and choir. The video went viral on YouTube with over 4 million hits in the first five days. Heart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.

This week brings two back to back nights of great music: Thursday it’s Ringo Starr with His All Starr Band’s Only Oregon Show. Friday we mellow out with the contemporary grooves of Amos Lee with Portland favorites Black Prairie. Tix for both are still available now and at the LSA box office each night (box office opens around 4, takes both cash and credit cards).
