Local author Mary Moynihan announce that her book, Married to the Trail, is published and available for purchase at Patagonia in downtown Bend during Art Walk November 6.
Married to the Trail is a story that tells the tale of her thru-hike along the Continental Divide Trail in 2011, a long-distance National Scenic Trail that stretches from Mexico to Canada. Traveling through New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho and Montana, she spent four months backpacking its length, a 2,700 mile endeavor.
Married to the Trail, published by Big Earth Publishing, is a story that of scenic beauty and honest dialogue.
Moynihan, an avid backpacker who seeks the challenge of long-distance hiking trails, is an employee at Patagonia since 2012. She will do readings and signings from 5-8pm and there will be copies of Married to the Trail for purchase. Hop Valley Brewing Company will be providing tasty brews for those 21 and over.
