Excitement Already Building for Sunriver Art Faire 2012

What do you get when you take a warm sunny weekend in mid-August, one beautiful new and improving Village at Sunriver, 60 incredibly talented Artisans eager to display and sell their art, and a dedicated and enthusiastic group of volunteers?  Nothing short of a great time for one and all.

Mark your calendars for the 3rd annual Juried Sunriver Art Faire, sponsored by the Sunriver Women’s Club (SRWC).  It will once again be held in the Village at Sunriver, Oregon on August 10-12, 2012.  Last year was very successful for both the participating artists and the SRWC.  The community also benefited by the several thousand visitors who came to Sunriver for the Faire.  The sponsorship has grown, due to the increased support of area merchants.

In response to requests by many of the artists, the decision was made to expand this year’s event to three days.  The Faire hours Friday and Saturday will be 10am to 7pm, and Sunday from 10am to 2pm.
Limited to 60 exhibitors, the Faire will showcase artists displaying and selling their fine arts and fine crafts.  There will also be a variety of professional entertainment (sponsored by The Village at Sunriver), a food court, artist demonstration area as well as a kid’s art center for young budding artists.

Special events will include a return of the highly popular Street Dance in the Village featuring the Klassixs Ayre Band) on Saturday evening 7-9:30pm, as well as Family Day at the Faire on Sunday.
All net proceeds from the Art Faire will help support deserving nonprofits in Central Oregon.  In 2011, the SRWC (a non-profit corporation established in 1974) proudly distributed over $35,000 from our various fundraisers to agencies that support the arts, education, and vulnerable families in Sunriver and the surrounding communities.

The executive committee of this year’s Art Faire is Betty Jo Simmons (assisted by Corinne Andrews), Pat Anderes (assisted by Teri Jendro) and Judy Stedman.  If you would like to join in the fun and volunteer, contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Marcia Schonlau, at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
