Call to Artists 2010 Bend Summer Festival July 10 & 11, Downtown Bend, signature artist event draws artists and street performers from all over the Northwest. Features a wide array of performing arts including dance, children’s activities, and the best regional and national jazz, blues, rock and international musicians. The event includes a food court with more than 20 restaurants, a beer garden and an award winning jazz and wine space. Celebrating the return of the sun, the renewal of the earth and the launching of a busy Central Oregon outdoor season. Now a nine year tradition as the locals’ favorite among outdoor festivals. Celebrating the end of summer season and the beginning of harvest and autumn, the festival has become iconic for Central Oregonians to do their holiday shopping amongst the many original artisans and crafters at the event. The event also enjoys a robust array of other “fall amenities” including more than 20 restaurants, beer and wine, hay rides, pumpkin carving and painting competitions, live music and more. Deadline: 5pm May 3, 2010.The call is for an interior wall sculpture and interior fiber art piece. These two pieces, once selected, will be installed on large interior walls in the new contemporary Campus Center building.
