Rocky Horror Picture Show, Mosley Wotta & Staxx Brothers at the Tower Theatre

Celebrate Halloween with a movie, two bands, costume contests and samples from Oregon Spirit Distillers on October 27.

It’s a party time triple bill at the Tower October 27, starting with the cult classic Rocky Horror Picture Show, complete with a costume parade and interactive instructions from the Lava City Roller Dolls.

Immediately following the film, Bend’s MOsley WOtta takes the Tower stage with his unique brand of hip hop rock. Then, Seattle’s Staxx Brothers turns the theatre into a juke joint with their vintage funkadelic “hard ass soul.”

In Rocky Horror (1975, rated R), Barry Bostwick and Susan Sarandon star as newlyweds Brad and Janet, lost in a rainstorm and seeking shelter in the castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), a mad scientist from the planet Transsexual. The hallmark of Rocky Horror is live audience participation: dancing, dressing, singing along–even pulling out props–in unison with the celluloid cast. So the Lava City Roller Dolls will sell bags of “dry” props (rice, toast, toilet paper, cards), and teach the “Time Warp” dance so everyone can do “a bit of a mind flip, into a time slip.”

General admission for the evening (movie and two shows) is $14. Attendees may come and go throughout the night. All ticket buyers must be 21 years old or older.
