Volcanic Theatre Pub March Film Screenings

Five new films beginning with Pulp Fiction March 7-10.  

Volcanic Theatre Pub (VTP) will be screening five new films beginning this week and continuing through March. All times are Thursday at 7pm, Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday matinees at 2pm. VTP is located in Century Center Bend 70 SW Century Drive (next to GoodLife Brewing.) VTP has state-of-the-art projection and a 16 foot screen and is furnished with comfy sofas, chairs and serves a great selection of craft beers and wines. All screenings are $6.

pulpfictionQuentin Tarantino’s cult classic Pulp Fiction screens March 7-10. Variety calls Pulp Fiction “The most influential film of the 1990’s” Pulp Fiction won the prestigious Palm d’Or at the Cannes Film festival.

 
March 14-17 VTP will screen the 1995 American neo-noir film The Usual Suspects directed by Bryan Singer. Actor Kevin Spacey and writer Christopher McQuarrie both won Academy Awards for their work on the film.

Director Jonathan Demme’s film The Silence of the Lambs screens March 21-24. The Silence of the Lambs is considered by the American Film Institute (AFI) as one of the top 100 movies of all time. It won the “Big Five” at The Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director and Best Screenplay.

The last film screening in March is the 1987 film Barfly starring Mickey Rourke and Faye Dunaway. Barfly was written by poet/author Charles Bukowski and is semi-autobiographical. Barfly screens March 28- April1.
