Learn to avoid the top mistakes new authors make–from craft to queries to social media–in an informative and entertaining workshop with author Tawna Fenske. Central Oregon Writers Guild is offering the workshop on February 21 from 9:30am to 12:30pm with an optional small group critique session to follow from 1-2:30pm.
The workshop and critique session will be held at COCC’s Redmond Campus, 2030 SE College Loop, Building 3, Room 312. Cost is $10 for Guild members; $20 for nonmembers. Reserve your spot by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org by February 20. (To participate in the critique session, bring six copies of any two pages you would like to work with.)
Presenter Tawna Fenske is a successful romantic comedy author who writes humorous fiction, risqué romance and love stories with a quirky twist. Tawna will use a Powerpoint presentation with video clips and writing exercises to help you avoid common mistakes in writing, agent queries, and social media. Writers of all genres and ability level are welcome. Bring a sack lunch to keep working through the lunch hour and make the most of your workshop experience. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.
