This is a ‘Drop-In’ dance lesson night for the public. Wednesdays are the perfect opportunity to take a quick dance lesson and practice with social dancing after. These classes are beginner/intermediate – great for first timers and those with some dance experience.

Cascade Chorale’s “The Best of Broadway”

Central Oregon Community College’s Cascade Chorale will present The Best of Broadway at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 29; and at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, at the First Presbyterian Church in Bend.
The program will feature selections from The Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Bye Bye Birdie, Spamalot, Sunday in the Park with George and Rogers and Hammerstein favorites. The concerts are free; donations will be accepted at the door. Doors open 30 minutes before the performance.

Rescue Revolution – A Trainer’s Challenge

Modeled after highly successful programs like the, Extreme Mustang Makeover and 100 Days of training for Off the Track Thoroughbreds, Rescue Revolution took form. Highly talented professional trainers, citizen horse trainers and youth assistants are stepping forward to provide highest levels of care and training for approximately 18 rescued horses for up to maximum of 180 days.

The culminating event will be held at Rim Rock Riders Arena at Brasada Ranch, a premier facility in Powell Butte, Oregon on May 30th and 31st, 2015. The competition will have In-Hand and Under Saddle divisions, and will include the following classes; Conditioning and Handling, Compulsory, and Obstacle Course with a Freestyle Finale to be performed by the the winners of the divisions. This will be followed by a final contestant showcase.  Horses will be available for adoption by competitive bid. The event includes vendors, food and prizes, as well as a fundraising raffle and auction. gmp531@gmail.com

During the event, a portion of the proceeds from all sales of food and beverages as well as to-go wines and logo items will be donated to help further the work of providing nutritious meals to those in need in Bend.

The Market occurs once a week downtown in the Brooks Street Alley-way behind the Tower Theater. The Market  also takes place on Fridays, from 2pm to 6pm, June 19th thru August 21st, at Mountain View High School north parking lot. The high school is located at  2755 NE 27th St.

We  continue to reach out to the community as the first farmers market in Oregon to launch a Farm to School program.
