First Friday Opening: Seeds of Abundance: Limits, Loss & Regeneration by Michele Guieu
Seeds of Abundance: Limits, Loss & Regeneration, explores abundance not through accumulation, but through attention to what already surrounds us. Using natural and salvaged materials, Michele Guieu creates immersive, participatory installations that invite slowing down and reflection. Informed by ecological systems thinking and the work of Nate Hagens, the exhibition emphasizes response over solution, offering a quiet meditation on limits, loss, and regeneration.
Visitors are invited to bring a small natural element—seed, seedpod, dried flower, or stone—and add it to A Sense of Place, a growing communal structure in the main gallery, accompanied by a handwritten note. These small gestures become acts of presence, care, and connection within the exhibition.
Opening reception will be held on Friday, March 6, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. An Artist Talk is scheduled for Thursday, March 19, at 5:30 PM. Additional programming includes Small Mobile Workshop, Saturday, April 11, from 11 am to 4 pm. Further programming will be announced.
