Hood Avenue Art featured artists for September are Mike Wise and Annie Dyer. Mike’s plein air paintings are inspired by the majestic surroundings of central Oregon and the Cascade mountains. Annie’s ceramic arts are centered around impressing objects into the clay using organic materials for her impressions. Whether hand formed or thrown, each piece is unique and functional and marries the smooth, rich surfaces of glazed and finished clay with the raw richness of nature.
