Deschutes Public Library is reimagining its annual Literary Ghost Walk as Fall Into Community, an evening of connection, creativity, and joy. The festival takes place Wednesday, October 28, from 5–7pm at the Central Library, with free fall activities for all ages.
“Our planning committee quickly came together to design more intentional activities that give the community a safe, creative space to express themselves, as well as place to just be,” said Erin Heyl, Community Librarian at Deschutes Public Library. “Come as you are or get dressed up in your Halloween best. There’s something for everyone to enjoy.”
Many beloved elements of the Library’s Literary Ghost Walk, including live music, crafts, and library staff and volunteers dressed as your favorite authors will return. A few new surprises and an expanded footprint will allow for even more stations throughout the building. Come get creative, meet the literary greats, and take a wander through the library.
“Fall Into Community is about celebrating the love of literature and fall themes, and being in community exactly as you are,” said Heyl.
