Augmenting the list of composer countries from the winter concert, we add three more to the mix: Germany (a charming concerto by Bach), England (a regal coronation march by Walton), and France (beautiful ballet melodies from Gounod). Additionally, Mozart makes the Austrians proud and Tchaikovsky captures the sights and sounds of Italy. Our guest artist for these concerts is former COS principal oboe, Amy Kolb. Currently serving as principal oboe for the Amarillo Symphony, Ms. Kolb will perform a first for COS audiences, a beautiful baroque concerto played on the rarely heard oboe d’amore.
