In this 5-day workshop, you will build your own base sculpture, starting with a balloon and coating it with layers of mesh & thinset. This will produce a solid, round-ish mosaic base, and you can add elements (ears, tails, etc) to create your favorite chubby critter. Because this is a process that can take a number of days, while we wait for your sculptures to dry in between layers, you will also get a round form that I have premade for you. The end result from your time at Carleton Manor will be 1 complete 3D mosaic and 1 complete base form to take home and finish – a start of a delightful menagerie for your yard or garden!
