Please join us for our second annual emergency preparedness fair where you can get prepared with your community! Learn about emergency preparedness in central Oregon, and get tips and tools to enhance your personal readiness. This year’s festivities will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, at Centennial Park. Several informative presentations will be held throughout the day:

10:30 a.m. – The FBI shares tips on how to be prepared for the unexpected, such as active shooters and other man-made disasters
11:30 a.m. – Deschutes County Emergency Manager Nathan Garibay and Mayor George Endicot discuss the area’s new Hazard Mitigation Plan and disaster readiness in central Oregon
12:30 p.m. – Pacific Power representatives offer electrical safety information and best practices during a disaster
