On Saturday, October 24th, award-winning author Kathryn Mattingly will offer a workshop on writing ‘Synopses and Blurbs’ — two elements which are essential for selling a book to a publisher, agent, and reader. Kathryn’s short fiction has appeared in eight themed anthologies and in Dark Discoveries magazine. The workshop will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Aspen Ridge Retirement Center, 1010 NE Purcell, Bend. The cost is $15 for Central Oregon Writers Guild members; $25 for nonmembers.
