Even though Judi Meusborn Williamson was born in Long Beach, California, her 13 years of growing up on a farm in Colorado is what gives influences to her paintings. She experienced gardening, helping with the animals and playing with her younger sister. A mother of two, her love of children shows in the many paintings she has done of her grandchildren.
Williamson uses mediums including oils, pastels and sculpture, her favorite being watercolors. She has developed and refined a technique of using regular household bleach on black paper. Her subject matter varies, but she usually works best with people and horses.
Williamson received a bachelor of arts degree in studio art from Chico State University in California and studied at Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles.
Williamson’s art is on exhibit in the Ambiance Art Co-op located at 435 SW Evergreen Ave. in Redmond. Samples of her work are also available at judisartgallery.com.
