Last Open Studio of Year at Caldera

Saturday, March 24, Caldera presents the work of professional artists during the last Open Studios of the year.

Open Studios take place from 1–3pm in Caldera’s beautiful Arts Center at Blue Lake, just west of the town of Sisters. The afternoon starts with talks and readings by artists and authors followed by self-guided studio tours as well as scheduled talks by the artists. Refreshments and a warm fire in Caldera’s library are a tradition for these informal, friendly and inspiring events.

Open Studios is a special opportunity to experience the creative process of an exceptional group of artists and writers who have been chosen through a competitive application process to participate as an artist in residence at Caldera. Residents come to immerse themselves in their work at Caldera. They stay in private A-frame cabins during their residency and work in studios or workspaces at Caldera’s Arts Center.

Featured March artists include: poet, Ahimsa Bodhran East Lansing, Michigan; writer, Kristin Steele, Portland, Oregon; musician, Sean Frenette, Portland, Oregon; fiber artist, Jeri Flom, Tualatin, Oregon; and the Ford Family Foundations’ Golden Spot Award recipient film maker, photographer, installation artist, Vanessa Renwick, Portland, Oregon.
