Redmond High Schools to Host Empty Bowls Fundraiser

Ridgeview High School and Redmond High School students are partnering to host the annual Empty Bowls fundraising meal at Ridgeview High School Sunday, December 14. The event will feature beautiful hand crafted artisan bowls made by ceramics students at Ridgeview and Redmond High Schools.

Attendees can choose from three seatings at 11:30am, 12:45pm and 2pm.

Guests will receive hot soup, rolls and refreshments made by the culinary students at RVHS. All participants will leave with a ceramic bowl of their choice.  Additional hand crafted bowls will be available for purchase.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. All proceeds will benefit Jericho Road, a local charity that provides food and transitional housing to homeless families in the Redmond area.

The event has been completely coordinated using donated materials and funds. Local McDonald’s owners Paul and Kathy Rodby have generously donated food materials for the culinary class to prepare for the event. Mark Keener Dentistry and Home Town Drugs have donated the funds to purchase ceramic materials to make the bowls.

Tickets can be purchased online in advance on the district’s website. For directions to Ridgeview High School, please visit their website online at www.rvhs.redmond.k12.or.us.
