Redmond’s High Schools to Host Third Annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser

Ridgeview High School and Redmond High School students are partnering to host the third annual Empty Bowls fundraising meal at Ridgeview High School on Sunday, March 13.

The event will feature beautiful hand crafted artisan bowls made by ceramics students at Ridgeview High School and Redmond High School. Admission fee is $15 per person. All guests will receive hot soup, rolls and refreshments prepared by the culinary students at RVHS. All participants will leave with a ceramic bowl of their choice. Additional bowls will be available for purchase with a minimum $10 donation. A silent auction will also be held for guests to bid on hand crafted ceramic items.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Jericho Road, a local charity that provides food and transitional housing to homeless families in the Redmond area.

The event has been entirely coordinated using donated materials and funds. Local McDonald’s owners Paul and Kathy Rodby have generously donated food materials for the culinary class to prepare for the event. Tony Parsley Dentistry and Home Town Drugs have donated the funds to purchase ceramic materials to make the bowls.

Tickets can be purchased online in advance on the district’s website and at Ridgeview High School. Tickets will also be sold at the door on the day of the event.
