Friday, April 9 at 7:30pm, the nonprofit Tower Theatre Foundation, in collaboration with High Desert Chamber Music, presents Rodney Marsalis Philadelphia Big Brass. Marsalis, principal trumpet for the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, leads a veritable dream team of virtuoso brass players in a high-powered display of infectious beats from Bach to Bourbon Street. The evening also showcases a special onstage collaboration with High Desert Chamber Music violinist Isabelle Senger. Philadelphia Big Brass is known for their musicianship, personality and dedication to bringing joy to audiences of all ages. Jens Lindemann, former member of The Canadian Brass, says, “The RMPBB is a quantum leap forward in what a brass group can bring to an audience. It simply is the next big thing.” AND jazz virtuoso, Wynton Marsalis, declared, “No one plays absolutely beautifully all the time…unless you’re my cousin Rodney.” The collaborative performance will truly be a treat for all, young and old, classic and contemporary.

This performance is presented by the Tower Theatre Foundation and sponsored by Bend Surgery Center with additional support from Central Oregon Radiology Associates, Salvesen Homes, Hasson Company Realtors, Immersion Brewing, Riverside Animal Hospital and First Interstate Bank.
