Western Roadhouse Troubadours

anvilblastersThe Anvil Blasters perform their gritty Americana tunes at The Barn in Sisters on Saturday for a romp from rock to soulful ballads.

The soulful roots songs and heartbreaking ballads of The Anvil Blasters are peopled with bordertown renegades and desert dreamers, poets and pirates and ghosts of the old, weird America.  It’s a rollicking recipe of gunpowder, twang and tequila that has earned them a fiercely loyal following across the high desert plains of Central Oregon.

The Barn at Pine Meadow Ranch is a historic dairy barn that has evolved into a rustic house concert as well as an intimate arts gathering spot for Sisters.

“We love playing at The Barn,” said Jim Cornelius of The Anvil Blasters. “It’s the perfect setting for our kind of music, the sound is great and it’s always a lot of fun.”

Special guest Cinder Blue, a highly regarded acoustic group from Bend, will kick off the evening.

April 7 music starts at 7pm. $10-15 suggested donation. Bring your own beverages and food. The Barn is at 68467 Three Creek Rd. (south on Elm Street about 3/4 mile from town).
