BendFilm Presents The Breakfast Club at The Old Stone Church

BendFilm and the Source Weekly are hosting a special anniversary screening with Bend resident and “Breakfast Club” Cinematographer, Thomas Del Ruth on April 22, 2015 at The Old Stone Church, 6:30pm.  There will be a pre-screening interview with Thomas Del Ruth about working with legend, John Hughes, and how the film’s cinematography melded with performances and story to create the film’s iconic comedic timing, tone and pacing.  A celebrity judge “Breakfast Club” character costume contest and raffle will also precede a full screening of the film.

A live and silent auction of fine local photography and other items to benefit Family Resource Center of Central Oregon. Hors d’oeuvres and hosted bar.

It’s time for Bend to laugh at itself – Again! Two nights of comedy starring local personalities performing sketches, singing parodies, and trying to earn Gratuitous Standing Ovations. Hosted by Scott Ramsay. All proceeds benefit the mission and programs of the nonprofit Tower Theatre Foundation.

Stirring it all up is the venomous Lady Sneerwell and her cadre of backbiters, who spin a web of malicious slander that threatens the happiness of everyone they encounter.

TCF-The Center Foundation has been selected by 10 Barrel Brewing Co. in Bend, Oregon as their April charity during which all proceeds from charity T-shirt sales go to their chosen charity. Additionally, on the last Tuesday of the month,  all profits made from food and drink sales are donated to TCF programs for the health and safety of youth.

This is a ‘Drop-In’ dance lesson night for the public. Wednesdays are the perfect opportunity to take a quick dance lesson and practice with social dancing after.  These classes are beginner/intermediate – great for first timers and those with some dance experience.
8:30-9:30pm – Practice / Social dancing to salsa, bachata and merengue music.
$5 for dance lesson and social after (No need to register for this lesson).
