Academie de Ballet Classique Presents Peter Pan with Dances from Stage & Screen at Tower

Proceeds from the June 22-23 annual performance assist with scholarships for class tuition with Valerie Holger who wants the art of ballet to be available to everyone.

Pballeteter Pan with Dances from Stage & Screen will be at the Tower Theatre Saturday, June 22, 6:30pm and Sunday, June 23, 2pm. Doors will open at 5:30pm for silent auction bidding.

Valerie Holgers and her many volunteers have spent countless hours in preparation for this event sure to bring smiles to the audience. Valerie has a great passion for children and a desire to bring her classical training to the Bend area.

Proceeds from this year’s performance allow Holgers to continue providing scholarships to children who otherwise would not have the chance to learn the elegant art of ballet.

Holgers desires the art of ballet to be available to everyone. She does not like to turn people away due to financial constraints, therefore, relies on sponsors, donations and recital proceeds to help those who otherwise could not afford to participate.

Valerie Holgers founded the Academie de Ballet Classique in 2006. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Marylhurst College in Portland, had a career as a professional ballet dancer, and is a certified and registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD); one of the world’s most influential dance education and training organizations.

Holgers’ focus is to educate and train her students using the RAD syllabus, allowing them to achieve a high level of success with their RAD exam scores. Some students have gone on to perform in companies such as the Colorado Ballet, Harlem Ballet Theater and the Oregon Ballet Theater.

Academie de Ballet Classique employs certified ballet and dance teachers, choreographers and musical accompanists. All are qualified teaching professionals and are artists in their own right. Dance classes offered through the studio include ballet, hip-hop, jazz, contemporary and adult classes, as well as summer camps.
