4th Annual Skateboard Art Auction to Benefit Local Skatepark Project

Bend’s Division Street Skatepark Project (DSSP) will be holding their fourth annual PUSH Art Auction on Friday, June 1 in downtown Bend.

PUSH features custom skate deck art from over 50 local, regional and national artists such as Adam Haynes, Aaron James Draplin, Kellie Talbot, Quincy Quigg, Wes Youssi, Jesse Lockwood and Dana McKenzie.

The PUSH Art Auction is a family-friendly event and will feature complimentary food and beverages from Deschutes Brewery and Parilla Grill in the old Boomtown location (910 NW Harriman on the corner of Harriman and Greenwood). The custom skateboards will be auctioned off in a silent auction from 6pm-10pm. All proceeds from the event will go to the Division Street Skatepark Project (DSSP).

The Division Street Skatepark Project is the brainchild of local skaters dedicated to building a skatepark in Bend. Situated on Division Street under the Bend Parkway, the potential location for the park is currently vacant and strewn with large boulders. The project crew, comprised of volunteers who have dreamt of such an opportunity for years, has formed a 501 (c)3 nonprofit in order to secure grants and funds for building the park. Inspired by Burnside Skatepark in Portland, the founders plan to follow their example by building a skatepark to the highest standards and maintaining control of the project through development and usage. Progress is being made and details will be shared at the event.

Event sponsors of include Deschutes Brewery, Parilla Grill, Side Effect Board Shop, Aspect Board Shop, Action Printing, Sessions Apparel, Nitro Snowboards, L1 Outerwear, Rook Clothing and Action Printing.
