Or maybe you’d like to warm up your musical theatre skills because you’d like to audition for a musical next season? Or maybe you just love to have fun! Come join us for our BEAT the Heat Musical Theatre class and learn all about how we tell stories through song and dance. No experience required.
Oh, My Odyssey: A Camp for New Actors – Session II

Learn what theatre is all about in this legendary camp covering the incredible adventures of Odysseus of Ithaca. During this week, we will travel back in time to ancient Greece to learn all about acting as we all play multiple roles, from Greek Gods to Ghoulish Ghosts and Sirens to Sea Beasts! No previous experience required.

Have you ever been to a play or a musical and loved how the actors seemed to move effortlessly back and forth on the stage With both good directing and many many extra notes in the script, the actors have directions that they practice over and over again. In this class, you will learn about all the other important parts of a script besides just lines. From stage direction, to setting a scene, actors get detailed notes about the play or musical. We will read parts of a script and play games to help us understand what we see when we go to the theatre. No experience necessary for this class. Come ready to be active and learn about navigating a script.
