High Desert Chamber Music (HDCM) will celebrate its 19th Annual Gala, Starry Starry Night, on Friday, November 20, at 5pm at the Riverhouse Convention Center. This event will include a cocktail hour, live and silent auctions, a performance featuring the Spotlight Chamber Players, dinner and dessert dash. Central Oregon Daily host Genevieve Reaume returns as Master of Ceremonies and will be joined by auctioneer Shanan Kelley. Together, they will lead guests through an evening of music, celebration, and fundraising. Gala Chair Trish Smith is chairing this year’s event.
This year’s Gala is presented by Severson Plumbing & Mechanical, joining HDCM as the event’s brand-new Gala presenting sponsor. The move to the larger Riverhouse Convention Center provides an exciting new setting for HDCM’s signature fundraising event.
“Our Annual Gala is an important part of sustaining the programs that allow us to bring live music and music education to Central Oregon,” says HDCM Founder and Executive Director Isabelle Senger. “This year’s Starry Starry Night theme gives us the opportunity to create a beautiful evening of music and celebration while shining a light on the students and young musicians who are at the heart of our educational work.”
High Desert Chamber Music’s Educational Outreach includes performances and Q&A sessions at local schools, public master classes, and the Spotlight Chamber Players chamber music training program. They will be featured at the Annual Gala, and this year’s members, aged 12 to 17, attend local schools including Trinity Lutheran School, Redmond Proficiency Academy, Cascades Academy, Caldera High School, and Mountain View High School.
Early bird pricing available through October 18. Reservations are required and guests are encouraged to embrace the Starry Starry Night theme with cocktail or formal attire. Tickets are available by phone or online.
