Mountain Running Celebrated in Northwest Film Premiere

highcountryRebound Physical Therapy is hosting a special film premiere of Joel Wolpert’s In The High Country, on Tuesday, August 6 at 7:30pm outdoors at Rebound’s West Side Clinic located at 1160 SW Simpson.

The film captures the life of mountain runner and free-soloist Anton Krupicka In the High Country of Colorado during the summer of 2012. Gritty and beautiful, Wolpert’s film takes onto the trails and the slopes, following Krupicka’s unique and inspiring days and nights in one of the world’s most beautiful places.

Director Joel Wolpert will be on hand to introduce his film and discuss the project’s unique twists and turns as well as participate in a follow-up Q & A.

“This film will appeal to Bend’s growing ultrarunning community as well as everyone inspired by the freedom of the outdoors,” said Jay Dicharry, Director of the REP Biomechanics Lab at Rebound Physical Therapy. “We are honored that Joel has chosen our community as only one of a few in the world for this premiere.”

The event is co-sponsored by REPBend Biomechanics Lab, FootZone Bend, Fleet Feet Sports and Deschutes Brewery. The suggested ticket price of $5 and a can of food will be accepted at the door. Proceeds will benefit CORK Youth Development Running Programs with all food donations benefitting Neighborhood Impact.
