History
The 20-Dollar Art Show is a popular community event that debuted at Bright Place Gallery in the fall of 2013. The brainchild of Stuart Breidenstein and Abby Dubief, the art show acts as a vehicle for artists to share their art with the public in a low-pressure environment, with artists keeping 100 percent of the sales. By 2019, the annual show had outgrown the walls of the gallery with more than 2,000 mini artworks from 120 artists.
In 2021, the High Desert Museum began hosting the exhibition. Visitors are wowed by the quantity and quality of mini masterpieces on display throughout the Museum. In 2025, more than 9,000 pieces of art from 180-plus local, regional and emerging artists were on view for three weeks. It’s the perfect time to browse, explore and find favorites.
The exhibition culminates in The 20-Dollar Art Show Extravaganza, a weekend-long sale and celebration of art.
